How long will my service take?
At Polychroma we strive for perfection and quality takes time. Generally colour appointments that include a cut and blow-dry are approximately three hours. You could be with us for two hours, and it could be up to four or five. We can discuss this in your consultation. We promise it’ll be worth it.
do you do consultations?
Of course! We like to get to know our clients, find out their hair dreams and expectations and we like to inform you of the processes and steps involved to achieve what you are looking for, so come and see us for a free 15 minute consultation.
do you do colour corrections?
Colour corrections require a little extra consideration. We will discuss your needs and we will offer you a realistic assessment. All colour corrections require a free 15 minute consultation.
what should i wear to my appointment?
You will wear a cape throughout your appointment, so your clothing will be covered, and we certainly take every effort to avoid any spills or leaks. However, we recommend you do not wear anything valuable or expensive, as Polychroma cannot be responsible for any stains or damage.
where can i park?
Yarralumla shops has some parking with most spots having a 1 hour parking limit, however there is on street parking along Novar st, Bentham st and Hutchins st. All parking around the shops is free.
Payment methods?
We accept cash, EFTPOS, Visa and Mastercard. Unfortunately we do not accept payment via American Express or Diners Club Card.
do i need to confirm my booking?
We have an automated text confirmation system. In the unlikely event that you do not receive a confirmation text 48 hours prior to your appointment, please feel free to contact the salon via phone to confirm.
what if i need to cancel?
In the event that you are unable to make your booking, we kindly ask that you provide the salon with more than 24 hours’ notice. Should you fail to contact the salon to cancel or reschedule your appointment within this notice period, you will be asked to pay a cancellation fee of %50 of your missed appointment before you are able to rebook with the salon.
If you are running late, please be advised that we may not be able to perform your complete service. Please appreciate that our salon operates according to strict timing to ensure our scheduled appointments run to time.
We have this policy to be fair to all of our clients.
what if i don’t like my colour?
Please kindly note we have a 7 day notification policy if you would like to adjust something about your hair. We do not offer refunds. A consultation would be required to ensure enough time is booked out for any correction and is free of charge.
how long does a toner last?
A toner should last between four to six weeks; depending on how frequently you wash your hair. We can recommend take-home products to maintain the freshness of your colour. We can’t recommend any colour if professional products aren’t used
DO I NEED TO HAVE A BLOW-DRY?
Blow-dry services are worked into all colour and cutting prices, it is very important to have a blow-dry if you’re having a cut as the hair needs to be check for length and needs to be personalised and it is equally important for your stylist to see your colour dry as its the only way to see the true tone. If you wish to leave without your hair blow-dried you can however we cannot guarantee any work we haven’ seen blow-dried.
what products do you use?
We use a range of styling products from Pravana, Unite, Sebastian, Davines and Colour Defence, based on the look you would like to achieve. Our stylists will talk you through each products used so that you can achieve the look you want at home also.
what if i don’t like my cut?
We want you to leave 100% satisfied with your hair. Please contact Polychroma immediately if you are unhappy with your hair cut. We have a 7 day re-cut policy, which means you need to get in touch with us within 7 days of your appointment in order to have your hair re-cut free of charge.
